Here’s is my 22 pound little big man wearing his new cloth diaper from Jungle Roo.

JungleROOI’ve been cloth diapering my son full-time since he was about 2 months old. Now that he is 9 months cloth diapering has become second nature in our home. I was ticked pink when I was contacted by Jungle Roo Cloth Diapers to review one of their Minky, leak-proof cloth diapers. Until now I’ve been using the same brand on him so I was definitely ready for a change.

I was sent this adorable Giraffe Roo Minky $22.99 to try on my son. Isn’t it super cute? It’s soft too and not bulky like the diapers I’m currently using. A 3-layer microfiber insert was also included. You have to stuff this diaper, there isn’t an option to snap the pad into place like I’ve been use to but I kind of liked not having the pad on the outside. It’s nice stuffing the diapering and having it folded and ready to go for changing time.

The exterior of their diapers are made of a 100% polyester knit with a thin, flexible water-proof polyurethane laminate on the inside (PUL). This JungleROO1hidden waterproof film keeps moisture from leaking out, yet still allows air flow to your baby’s skin, and allows the fabric to feel nice and soft on the outside. Inside, our diapers are lined with soft suedecloth, which is gentle against your baby’s skin and feels dry since moisture is pulled through into the pocket by the microfiber inserts. Remember, it’s suggested to wash your insert at least 3-5 times before first use. The more you wash the more absorbent it becomes.

The very first night I put baby Sean to bed wearing this new cloth diaper I was a little worried that he would wake me up in the middle of the night needing a change. I was mainly worried because the diaper isn’t bulky like the ones I am use to. It’s thinner than what I’m use to and in my mind that means it won’t absorb as much. The next morning when baby Sean woke up he was as dry as a whistle. My fears were for nothing. This diaper really works. When they say leak-proof exterior they really mean it.

There are three rows of rise adjustment snaps, this diaper fits babies 9lbs to 30lbs. I have only ever used cloth diapers with velcro so this was my first experience using snap closures. I was very surprised at how easy the snaps were to use and I think because of the hip snaps baby Sean had no leaks.

Final Thoughts

I really want to add more Jungle Roo Cloth Diapers to our stash. They have a nice variety of colors and styles and I’m definitely ready for some new fluff. I am very impressed with how this diaper preformed. My baby boy was happy wearing it, it’s easy to use and no leaks.

While you’re waiting for the giveaway fun to begin May 1st visit Jungle Roo Cloth Diapers on Facebook and follow along with them on Twitter too.

I was sent a cloth diaper free of cost to facilitate this review. I was not financially compensated in anyway for a positive review.
