From the very moment I found out we were having another child my mind immediately began to race. I first asked myself how in the world would I take both kids out by myself? Would I have to push two strollers, would I always need someone with me to help? My oldest will turn 5 very soon. We don’t normally bring a stroller out for her since her little brother was born. Jasmine is old enough to walk when we go out for short trips. It’s the long trips, full days out sightseeing that make her tired and when she gets tired she gets grumpy. No one like a grumpy girl. My son Sean just turned 1 and definitely needs a stroller. I never knew that a stroller such as the Joovy Blueberry Caboose Ultralight Stand-On Tandem Stroller even existed. This stroller has had having two children, different ages and needs so much easier. At only 21 lbs. the new Ultralight Caboose is the lightest, most maneuverable tandem stroller available on the market today.
I no longer have an infant, we’ve moved on from the infant car seat but for parents of an infant or newborn you’ll love that the Ultralight Caboose is outfitted with a Universal Car Seat Adapter, it snaps easily into the tray housings. Your compatible car seat will nest in the front seat to create a wonderful place for your infant to ride safely. When you’re not using the infant car seat adapter, the child tray snaps into place and provides a great place for snacks, toys and beverages, or in my case, a nice place to rest his hands.
The 3-position front seat is nicely padded and the 5-point harness is great for holding my rambunctious 1-year old in place.
Rear Sit & Stand
For the older child, there are a few different options. Jasmine can walk along side the stroller, stand behind it, or sit. There are a few fun options for hitching a ride. My daughter is the oldest and she’s almost 5 years old, 35 or so pounds and when we are out on long outings she gets tired and there use to be no where for her to rest, until now. Now that we have the Ultralight Caboose she can sit or stand comfortably while resting her little legs. The rear set is padded, with lap straps. The padded set slides back and forth allowing easy access to the large oversized storage basket. If Jasmine chooses to stand she can easily see over the top of the stroller and hold on to the padded handles. As the big sister in the family it’s important for me to boost Jasmine’s independence and this stroller definitely helps with that.
Accessories & Features
I find the included Parent Organizer very handy and useful. The Joovy Parent Organizer is comes standard with every Ultralight Caboose. Made of machine washable neoprene, the organizer has a nicely sized rear zippered pocket that is perfect to securely store keys, cell phone, a small camera, or whatever you need put away. The dual cup holders will keep your drinks cool too. The Parent Organizer stays in place, even when you’ve folded up your caboose. The oversized storage basket is the largest I’ve ever seen. Joovy’s signature oversized canopy has been designed with a sun visor extension, both children will be well protected from the sun.
I really like how easily the Ultralight Caboose folds up. At only 21 pounds it’s not too heavy for me to lift in and out of my SUV. It’s hard to believe that the Caboose folds so flat, but it does.
The brand new Caboose Too set easily converts your Ultralight Caboose to a full double stroller in minutes! The Caboose Too has to be ordered separately, it’s $69.99 and can also be purchased at www.joovy.com.

Honestly, I only have two issues with the caboose. I understand you can’t have it all but I wish when Jasmine leaned back while in the sitting position it didn’t affect baby up front. If Jasmine leans back it causes baby Sean to sit up higher. Jasmine wouldn’t be able to sit if baby wanted to sleep or recline. The tray snaps into place but it makes getting baby out kind of difficult. I have to fully remove the try to get the baby out, otherwise it’s a little difficult to pull him out safely. I wish the try hung on a swivel so I could easily unlatch one side to pull him out without needed to unsnap both sides of the tray. With that being said I would still recommend this stroller to any of my friends or family members who have smaller children at difference ages.
I really like this stroller, it’s easy to unfold and open, it’s not too heavy, fits in my SUV, and Jasmine really likes having a rest option while out for the day. Not to mention how fun it is to drive. I’ve been stopped a few time already, everyone wanting to know where I got my stroller. This is not an all terrain stroller but I have pushed it through moist grass at the park and it handled pretty good. This stroller drives best on a flat smooth surface. We’ve already gotten a lot of use out of this stroller and I know we will continue to use it often.
