Check out this Dr. Talbot’s Diaper Rash Ointment from Nuby, it’s the trusted diaper rash ointment, since 1933. I love the history behind this diaper ointment. Being that I live here in Louisiana it’s nice to know that Dr. Talbot’s was the first pediatrician in Monroe, Louisiana and he came up the formula. Wanting to do everything in his power to heal sick children, he distributed his formula and mixing instructions to area pharmacists at no charge. In keeping with his wish to help children, he never profited from a sale. Nuby is continuing his caring philosophy by making Dr. Talbot’s Diaper Rash Ointment available to the masses. In addition, Nuby is donating a percentage of all sales to selected children’s charities in his name.
This diaper rash ointment has a very pleasant smell and it goes on smooth. Unfortunately, just last week baby Sean got his first diaper rash. I had to use some of this ointment and I found it went on very smooth, the consistency of this ointment is nice, not too thick. The zinc oxide and peruvian balsam ointment helped soothe his rash while moisturising his delicate skin.
I normally cloth diaper my son but when he started get a red bottom and it wasn’t getting better I switched to disposable and used this ointment. Within a few days his rash was gone. I think I was having a repelling problem with his cloth diapers, it’s time to strip them all. I do know that zinc isn’t cloth diaper friendly, it repels moisture from baby’s skin. If the zinc comes in contact with cloth then it won’t be as absorbent has it needs to be to keep your baby’s bottom dry.
So, there you have it. This is a fabulous diaper rash ointment that works. There’s also a really cool story behind it and I feel a bit nostalgic when I use it. I highly recommend this diaper rash ointment, hopefully you won’t have to use it too much on your baby but if you do I promise, you’ll love it.
