Technigirl Pixel Parrot Shirt

My 5-year old thoroughly enjoyed helping me with this Technigirl Pixel Parrot Shirt review. My daughter J is a little fashionista, and she knows good style.

How Technigirl Began – Words from Technigirl Owner Melissa Montanez:
I’m a mom of a little girl, and I’m also an electrical engineer and entrepreneur.  I work full-time as an engineer in the semiconductor industry (in addition to running my business), so I’ve spent much of the last 12 years hanging around electronics and microchips, and this inspires a lot of my designs.  I think it is one of the things that makes me unique and it makes my designs stand out.  In addition, I’m definitely a girl’s girl who likes to wear dresses and heels, so I like to inject a bit of that into my girls’ clothes as well.

I started Technigirl because as a mom of a little girl, I got super annoyed at all the girls’ shirts with dumb sayings like “Allergic to Algebra”, “Most likely to spend Daddy’s money” etc.  I also wondered why it was so hard to find girls shirts with cool stuff on them like robots and spaceships.  So I decided to make shirts that were more empowering (i.e. one of my shirts says “Future rocket scientist” on it), and that had the cool designs I was looking for.

As a female engineer, I know how lonely it can be as a woman in a technical field.  I’d like to help today’s young girls to become the smart, intelligent women I know they can be.  In the near future I am also planning to help fundraise for organizations such as Girlstart that encourage girls to go into science, math, engineering, and technology.

I was sent this adorable Technigirl Pixel Parrot T-Shirt for my 5-year old daughter to try. The moment I got it out of the packaging J wanted to put it one. Now that she is getting herself dressed, or at least trying I let her run to her room and get it on. J emerged from her room with a grin on her face, it’s safe to say, she loves the shirt.

I went with the size 5T for J, it fits her perfectly. Technigirl clothing seems to be pretty true to size. This shirt is 60% cotton and 40% polyester, it’s also machine washable.

While I was browsing www.technigirl.com I noticed they sell more than just clothing, I found so great books, toys, and posters.
