My family and I consume a ton of sweet tea, it’s a long-standing family tradition I inherited from my Texan Dad. While shopping the other day I came across Lipton Tea & Honey while grabbing for my normal tea bags down the tea aisle at Walmart #FamilyTeaTime. I found a nice selection of pitcher and to go packets. I decided to grab the Lipton Tea and Honey Peach Apricot. I wanted to treat my family to a delicious new drink at dinner time but didn’t see Peach Apricot in the pitcher packets, I just grabbed the to go packets instead.
Since I couldn’t find the pitcher packets I knew I would need to do a little math. I ended up using 4 to go packets, which made 2 quarts. I had a little room left in my pitcher so I added in a cup or so of Peach Juice. I wanted to add a little twist so I ended up making mango and peach ice cubes. I used frozen mango chunks and places each chunk in a slot on my ice-cube tray and poured in a little peach juice. That’s it.
Family meal time is very important in our home. We try to gather around the family table as much as possible. When my husband works late it’s me and the kids sitting at the table, tv is off, and cell phones are put away. I grew up in a home where we always had meals around the dining room table and Lipton Tea was always served. We talked, laughed, and discussed our day. I think it’s so important to keep that tradition alive with my family. My family loved the twist I put on our every day tea. They loved the refreshing taste of Lipton & Honey Peach Apricot and of course my mango and peach ice cubes were a big it too.
