Our Thanksgiving family tradition starts with Hickory Farms

Family tradition was hard to keep alive in my home growing up. My mom was and still is a nurse. She usually had to work every other Thanksgiving, still does to this day. My mom’s crazy work schedule didn’t stop her from always buying us a Hickory Farms gift basket to enjoy while she was gone. Growing up, I always looked forward to that day she would bring me home some summer sausage, which eventually became synonymous with the holidays for me.

My brothers would munch on the candies and I would slice myself some summer sausage, cheese, and enjoy on the delicious seasoned crackers that always accompanied the basket. Our Thanksgiving family tradition starts with Hickory Farms, every year.

Since moving away and starting my  own family, I hope to keep our Hickory Farms tradition alive with my children and husband. Just a few days ago, I was sent this delightful Family Favorites gift basket to enjoy. My daughter enjoys the summer sausage just as much as I did and still do.

The Family Favorites Gift Basket $25.50 includes:

  • 2 Hickory Farms Signature Beef Summer Sausages 7 oz.
  • Creamy Farmhouse Cheddar 4 oz.
  • Smoked Cheddar 4 oz.
  • Olive Oil & Rosemary Crackers 1.5 oz.
  • Mini Melt Away Mints 4 oz.

What is a family tradition do you do with your family during the holiday season?
