My favorite Five-Alarm Chili recipe is my slow cooked chili

With most of the country suffering from freezing cold weather, it’s nice to have comfort food to warm up not only your body, but your spirits as well. Most of us can’t enjoy the foods we love to eat because of  heartburn and acid indigestion. My husband and I suffer from heartburn, but we never let that stop us from indulging in our favorite foods. Enjoy your favorite foods anytime with a little help from Rolaids. My favorite five-alarm chili recipe is slow cooked chili and I’m excited to share it with you.

Keep reading, you’ll have the chance to enter for a chance to win a Rolaids prize pack, valued at over $100 dollars.

  • 3lb ground beef
  • 2 packets taco seasoning
  • 6oz can tomato paste
  • 10oz can Rotel Original
  • 10oz can Rotel Chili Fixin's (optional)
  • 16oz can chili beans (choose your favorite brand)
  • 15oz can red kidney beans (choose your favorite brand)
  • 14.5oz can petite diced tomatos
  • 3/4 cups water
  • pinch coarse sea salt (flavor to taste)
  • pinch fresh cracked black pepper
  • sour cream
  • shredded cheese (just choose your favorite)
  • crackers

Step 1
Turn slow-cooker on medium and brown the ground beef. Drain excess fat and mix in tomato paste and chili seasoning, add water. Combine well and let simmer on low for about 2 minutes. (if you don't a have stove-top setting on your slow-cooker just do this step 1 in a pot or pan on your stove) Start step 2 in the slow-cooker.
Step 2
If you're moving from the stove-top to your slow-cooker simply pour ground beef mixture into your slow-cooker and add in both cans of Rotel, chili beans, red kidney beans, diced petite tomatoes, salt, and pepper. Adjust your slow-cooker to low for 4-6 hours. Continue to flavor to taste while the slow-cooker is going. You also might need to add more water, depending on how thick you like your chili.
Step 3
Serve with a dollop of sour cream, shredded cheese, and a few crackers.
